How to Make Epoxy Earrings and Bracelet
I love making jewelry out of epoxy. You can make amazing jewelry like this too and you can make it look however you want. Let's get started!!!
Supplies
EARRINGS
3 plastic measuring cups
2 molds (earring mold)
3 stirring sticks (one for each of the cups)
5 plastic bowls (one for each color)
1 bottle of Epoxy Resin Resin
1 bottle of Epoxy Resin Hardener
6 colors of Resin Colorant (Dark blue, light blue, light green, white, caramel, and mango)
2 earring pieces (put on the earrings once dried)
1 sandpaper (to smooth the earrings)
1 small bottle of oil (to make the earrings shiny)
OPTIONAL
1 newspaper or a piece of cloth (keep your surfaces clean)
Glitter (any color)
BRACELET
3 plastic measuring cups
1 mold (bracelet mold)
3 stirring sticks (one for each of the cups)
2 plastic bowls (one for each color)
1 bottle of Epoxy Resin Resin
1 bottle of Epoxy Resin Hardener
2 colors of Resin Colorant (black and white)
1 sandpaper (to smooth the bracelet)
1 small bottle of oil (to make the bracelet shiny)
1 sheet of parchment paper (for the bracelet design)
OPTIONAL
1 newspaper or a piece of cloth (keep your surfaces clean)
Glitter (any color)
Mixing Epoxy
First, put the Epoxy Resin Hardener into one of the plastic measuring cups. Then in the other plastic cup put the Epoxy Resin Resin and mix both cups separately. Next, mix both resins in the third cup and mix until combined.
Adding Color
After you have a cup filled with epoxy, put the epoxy in a plastic bowl to put color in it. Put two drops of the caramel color, two drops of the mango color, and two drops of white. Then mix until you get a good sand color or until you're satisfied.
Making Sand
After you got the right colored sand, put the epoxy in the shape you want it to be in the mold. Then wait until dry which takes about a day.
Mixing Epoxy Ocean
Once the epoxy sand is dry, mix some more epoxy the same way you did in step one. Instead of putting it in one bowl, put it in four bowls.
Adding Ocean Colors
Once the epoxy is split into four bowls add two drops of white color into each bowl. Then add two more white drops into the first bowl. For the second bowl, add two drops of light blue. Next, add two drops of light green to the third bowl. Lastly, the fourth bowl will have two drops of dark blue added to it. Then mix all the colors in separately.
Swirling Ocean
Put the white epoxy in a line first then the light blue epoxy. Then add the blue and green epoxy in a swirl at the end of the mold. Blend the different shades together until it is gradient. Then let it dry.
Adding Clear Coat
After it has dried for a day, mix some epoxy as you did in step one. Then add any and as much glitter as you want to the clear epoxy with no color. Take the thin piece of beach out of the mold and add the clear glittery epoxy to the bottom. Next, add the beach on top and then put a second coat of glitter epoxy. Wait until dry.
Smooth Jewelry
Once you got both earrings that are dry, get some sandpaper. Then start rubbing both sides of the earings onto the sandpaper until they are the same size. After that, wash the earrings and put VERY LITTLE oil on them to make them shine.
Putting Earring Pieces Together
The earrings look complete but there's more. You have to take some tweezers and hook the earrings with the epoxy earrings. Make sure they don't fall off.
Showing Off
Now it's time to show off those awesome earrings to all your friends and family. Hope you enjoyed making epoxy earrings!!!
Making Bracelets
To make a bracelet, you need to make some epoxy by doing step one. Then split the epoxy into two plastic bowls and add two drops of white to one of them and two drops of black to the other one and mix separately.
Make Design
Once dried, put the two colors on parchment paper by making dots. Then let them dry.
Finishing Bracelet
When the dots are dry put them in any pattern you want in the bracelet mold and put some clear epoxy over them. You can make the epoxy from step one. Let the whole mold dry. Next, put the bracelet on the sandpaper and shave it until it is smooth. Then put VERY LITTLE oil on it just like step ten.
Hope You Enjoyed
I hope you like your bracelet and earrings!!!
