How to Make Dog Blankets

Wouldn't you love to help dogs in need, while getting service hours? I would! Today, I'm going to be teaching you all how to make dog blankets with simple materials!

Supplies

You will only need scissors and fleece.

Go to Store

First, go to the closest arts and crafting store.

Picking Out Fleece

Next, pick out your favorite two patterns of fleece.

Find Area

Next, Find an open area that is big enough for your materials.

Lay Out Fleece

Next, Lay your fleece out directly on top of each other.

Cut Corners

Next, cut out the corners in small squares.

Tie Corners

Next, cut out small sections around the entire perimeter of the blanket.

Next, tie the corners to stabilize the blanket and make cutting and tying easier.

Next, tie the perimeter of the blanket in small knots.

Using Remaining Fabric

Next, use the remaining fabric from cutting squares at the beginning of the project an cut them in half

Next, tie the remaining fabric in one knot to form a toy for the dogs to chew on.

Drop It Off/ Give To!

Lastly, drop your blankets and toys off at the Humane Society, dog shelter of your choice, or keep it for your own dog and watch them enjoy your project.
