How to Make Custom Vinyl Stickers/decals

Get creative and create custom stickers, decals, logo's, plus much more!

Supplies

Printable Vinyl

Cricut Machine

Transfer Tape

Scraper Tool

Weeding Tool

Alcohol wipes/Rubbing Alcohol

Measuring tape

Computer/Tablet

Cutting Mat

Scissors

Gather Supplies

Measure Your Blank Canvas

I chose a water bottle.

Open Your Cricut Machine and Prepare to Make Sticker/decal

Login to Cricut Machine and design your sticker/decal.

Once opened up, click on "text" and type in your font.

Change the Size of Sticker/decal to Fit Canvas

Size the name according to the canvas size (I chose 4.5 x 2.5).

Click “make It”

Choose Your Vinyl Size

I chose 6x6 to give me plenty of room.

Click "Continue"

Follow the steps on the screen.

Change the Settings on Your Cricut to “vinyl”

Cut a Piece of Permanent Vinyl

Place vinyl on Cutting Mat.

​Place the Cutting Mat in the Cricut Machine

Click the blinking arrow light. It will load the cutting mat.

Press the Blinking Cricut Light

It will begin cutting the vinyl.

Once Done Cutting, Pull Out the Cutting Mat and Begin Weeding

Begin weeding the vinyl (pulling off the extra vinyl).

Adding the Transfer Tape to Sticker/decal

Take a piece of transfer tape and cover your name and use your scraper to press all the edges down.

Use Alcohol to Wipe Off the Canvas

Before peeling up the sticker/decal, clean surface of the canvas

Place the Transfer Tape/image Onto Canvas

Use scraping tool to press down edges. Remove the transfer tape and you're left with the finished product.
