The second step is to scoop coffee from the tin onto the coffee machine filter. Keep filling the filter with coffee until it is full and proceed to smoothen it until it looks something like in the picture. This step is important because Coffee grounds can get into the actual liquid coffee later.

If you have a coffee machine that heats automatically like the one being used, plug it in to an outlet to begin brewing. If the machine you are using doesn't have automatic heating, then put it on the stove burners at a boiling temperature to brew it alternatively.

Add Sugar to a Cup or Tin

This next step is crucial to making the classic foam of Cuban Coffee. Carefully dispense a few drops of brewed coffee into the tin with sugar. Those two will be mixed vigorously for about thirty seconds until a caramel like substance is formed. This is called "Sugar Foam" which gives bubbles to the coffee, giving a richer texture when drinking.

Pour the Remaining Coffee and Stir

The last and final step is to pour the rest of the brewed coffee into the tin with the sugar foam. Once the desired amount of coffee is poured, mix it well with the sugar foam to create the ultimate product of Cuban Coffee/Espresso.
