Tools/Ingredients and Time

Before we get started with making the cupcakes, there are some things you'll need to gather.

Baking Tools:

- Large Mixing Bowl

- Cupcake Tray

- Hand Mixer

- Measuring Cups

- 24 Cupcake Liners

- 2 Small Ziploc Bags

- Piping Tip

Ingredients:

- Betty Crocker Super Moist Milk Chocolate Cupcake Mix

- Pillsbury Vanilla Frosting

- 1 & 1/4 Cups of Water

- 1/3 Cup of Vegetable Oil

- 3 Eggs

- Sanding Sugar (Rainbow) or Sprinkles

Now let's talk about timing. Preparation time should take about 20 minutes. The baking time is 16 minutes. Then after the cupcakes are done cooling for about 15 to 20 minutes, you can finally frost them. Each cupcake tray makes only 12 cupcakes so you will need to make 2 batches of cupcakes.

Make the Cupcake Batter

To create the cake batter you first start off by pouring the cake mix into the large bowl. You then add the 1 and 1/4 cups of water, the 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, and 3 eggs to the cake mix. Then with your hand mixer, mix the ingredients at the lowest speed until the batter becomes smooth and consists of no clumps. The color of the batter should be a medium brown.

Prepping the Tray and Baking

The next step of the cupcake making process is to bake the cupcakes! The first step is to place a cupcake liner in each individual cupcake mold on the tray. Then you pour the batter about 3/4 into each cupcake liner. Next you preheat the oven at 350°F and put the cupcakes in for 16 minutes.

Cooling

Once the cupcakes are done baking insert a toothpick or a fork into the middle of one of the cupcakes to make sure they are fully baked. Then leave them out in the tray for about 15 to 20 minutes to properly cool down.

How to Make the Piping Bag

To create the perfect frosting designs you will first need to make a piping bag. Take one of the Ziploc bags and place it perfectly into the second Ziploc bag. This is to make the bag stronger so it doesn't burst later on when you are frosting the cupcakes. Then cut off a small tip from the edge of both of the bags. Place the piping tip into the Ziploc bag where you cut the holes out and then put the frosting into the bag. Twist the top of the bag closed and then you can start frosting!

Decorating

Now comes the fun part... DECORATING!! I personally like to frost a spiral motion to create spirals but you can do anything you want. Once you are done frosting add the sanding sugar or sprinkles to the top of the cupcakes and then you're done!! Enjoy and thanks for viewing :)
