How to Make Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Gathering Ingredients

For this step, you need to gather your ingredients. In order to make chocolate chip pumpkin bread, you need:
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
½ cup of butter, softened (microwave butter in 15 second intervals until soft to the touch)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 cup of 100% pure pumpkin
¾ to 1 cup of chocolate chips, depending on personal preference

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350°, and grease an 8 by 4 loaf pan. Set aside.

Beat the flour mixture into the sugar and butter mixture at low speed. Then, beat in the chocolate chips. Be sure to scrape down the side of the bowl with a spatula so no flour remains on the side.

Pour the batter into the loaf pan, and bake for 50 minutes. You will know the bread is done when it does not sink when touched. The middle of the bread should not have a soup-like consistency.
