Directions
After 15 minutes, add chopped onion into the pot and turn on med- high heat.
Directions
When the chicken looks ready and cooked, take it out of the pot and place in a seperate bowl.
Directions
Make sure there is a little water mix left in the pot. Chop the potatoes into medium sized square pieces (doesn't need to be perfect) and add to the water mix. Add as much water necessary so that the potatoes are covered in water, cover pot, and put on high heat.
Directions
After cooking for 15- 20 minutes, check to see it the potatoes looked soft and cooked. If they are: add 1 1/2 spoons of turmeric, and the chicken you cooked. Place lid on pot and let cook until everything comes together and the suqaar is thick.
Directions
Pour in bowls and eat with a type of bread. I prefer Malawax. It's a sweet, thin, Somali bread that goes perfectly with Suqaar!
