How to Make Car Air Fresheners
Modern people often cannot go without their automobiles, which is quite understandable. Personally, I am an auto fan and I love my car very much. Although, I have purchased a used car, I'm satisfied with it and feel comfortable when driving the vehicle. However, there is one thing that frequently bothers me. The thing I’m talking about is the air inside the passenger compartment, which is often stuffy and not that pleasant to breathe. If you are also a driver, then you, probably, know that modern car air fresheners are quite expensive and there is a need to buy them on a regular basis. That is why, I have decided to make several samples of air fresheners that come with natural fragrance. They are very easy to make and you can do that irrespective of the type and model of automobile you drive. So, let’s get started right away!
Supplies
To make natural car air fresheners, you will need the following supplies:
- Coffee grains
- Rope
- Satin ribbons
- Small paper bags
- Small cotton bag
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Lemon and orange essential oils
- Metal base
- Paper napkin with coffee images
- Wine cork
- Beads
Fill Paper Bags With Coffee
Take fried coffee grains and fill paper bags with them. There should be around 50 g of coffee in two or three paper bags. The same amount of coffee grains should be put into a small cotton bag you will use afterwards.
Bind the Bags
Having filled the bags with coffee grains, take a satin ribbon (preferably, of the same or similar color) and bind the bags. If possible, you can decorate the bags with any décor elements you have at hand. Stick the paper bags with thick needles to let the fragrant air go from the inside. Now, take a glue gun and decorate paper bags with coffee grains. You can place such air fresheners in any part of your auto. However, if you wish the fragrance to come from the left or right side of the auto, then you can make another air freshener.
Make a Cotton Bag Ball
Take a small cotton bag with coffee grains you have prepared in the first step and bind it with a thin rope until you get a ball. Then take a paper napkin with coffee images, cut the piece you need and glue it carefully to the cotton ball.
Decorate the Ball With Coffee Grains
Now, decorate the cotton ball with coffee grains. Glue them all around the ball and attach the loop then. As soon as the glue dries out, you can additionally decorate your air freshener with any elements you like.
That’s it! Your handmade car air fresheners are now ready! They are very simple, aren’t they? The fragrance of fresh natural coffee will fill your car for about two weeks, after which you can use essential oils to renew the aroma! Hopefully, this tutorial will be of great help to you! Good luck!
