Mix Sugar and Molasses
Making homemade brown sugar couldn't be easier. Add the white granulated sugar to a medium bowl and then add the molasses. Use a spoon, fork, or mixer to mix the two ingredients together.
Make It Darker
To make the brown sugar darker add more molasses, I wouldn't add much more than 2 Tbsp of molasses for 1 cup of sugar.
A really good way to mix the ingredients together is by using really clean fingers. I like to start with a spoon and then switch to the fingers. You can also use food prep gloves if you don't want to use your bare hands.
And just like that it is done and ready to be used in any recipe that calls for brown sugar. Store it the same way you would other brown sugar, in an airtight container, in the pantry or cupboard. It will last months.
