How to Make Baked Ziti
Ingredients
Cook time: 1 Hour Yield: Serves at least 8
Ingredients:
· One box of ziti (Barilla)
· Ground beef
· 2 cans of spaghetti sauce ( Prego or Ragu)
· 1 pack of shredded cheese
· 1 pack of block cheese
· Season all salt
· Salt
· Sugar (Optional)
· 1 pan
Cook the Noodles
Pour the box of noodles in a pot. Fill the pot with warm water. Add about a tablespoon of salt. Cook until the noodles are tender.
Drain the Noodles
Drain your noodles. Then wash it using cold water. After washing your noodles, boil it for an ten minutes. Be sure to reduce the temperature to low. After ten minutes turn off the stove, drain the noodles again, then leave it to cool.
Making the Ground Beef
Pour the ground beef into a saute pan. Put the temperature on high. Season your beef with a tablespoon of salt and season all. Break up any chunks of the beef. Cook until the beef turns brown.
Drain the Beef
Once the beef is completely brown, drain it so that all the oil can be drained out. After you drain the beef, leave it to cool.
Cook the Ragu Sauce
Pour both cans of sauce into a bowl. Season with one tablespoon of salt, two tablespoons of season salt, and two tablespoons of sugar(Optional). Let it cook for ten minutes. After ten minutes, reduce the temperature to medium. Next, pour the ground beef inside of the sauce. Let this cook for another ten minutes. Stir the sauce well.
Making the Ziti
Pour the noodles into a pan. Cut your block of cheese and put it on your noodles. Sprinkle some of your shredded cheese on your noodles.
Adding Your Sauce
Pour your ragu sauce onto your noodles. Make sure that your sauce completely covers your noodles. If you want your ziti to be extra cheesy, add more cheese on top of the sauce.
Baking Your Ziti
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Place your pan of ziti into the oven and allow it to bake for ten minutes. After ten minutes, add more cheese. Then allow it to cook for fifteen minutes.
Your Ziti Is Ready!
Take out your baked ziti. Allow it to cool for about ten minutes. Then ENJOY!
