How to Light Matches Like a Pro (instantaneously)

I this instructable I will show you how to do a cool little trick that you can impress your friends with. You will be able to instantly light matches as you pull them out of your belt. If you like this instructable click on the link to see the instructable that inspired me to make this one.

- A belt

- Tape (masking or duct)

- Scissors

- A box of matches

- A ruler

Measure the width of the belt and then cut a piece of the striking surface from the matchbox that is twice as long as the belt width.

Fold the piece in half so that the striking surfaces are touching each other and then tape it closed(see above picture). After that take a match from the matchbox and slowly insert it so that it is between the two striking surfaces(WARNING: if you insert the match too fast it will ignite and burn everything).

Put on your belt but leave it very loose. Then attach the match-lighting contraption to the inside of the belt with tape. Now tighten your belt. If your belt is tight enough, there will be enough friction that the match will light when pulled out of the belt quickly.

You're done.That was easy. Now you can go around to your friends and show them your latest trick. If you want to you can even add a couple more match-lighting contraptions to your belt so that you have more ready-to-light matches.
