How to Level the Ground for a Above Ground Pool.

How to DIY 2-day pool leveling.
Day one Digging.
Day two Leveling
Supplies

1 Wheelbarrow
1 2x4x12 piece of wood
1 roll of duct tape
1 large nail (6-10 in long)
1 large leveler
1-2 shovel(s), flat
4 wood stakes
1 roll of twine (yarn/rope)
10-12 bags of leveling sand
1 steel tamper
1 rubber mallet (or steel hammer)
2 ten-pound weights

Use the stakes and twine to create a squared area to dig up.
For this example, a 20 ft x 20ft area.

Use the Flat shovels to dig up 2-4 inches of sod/ground.
Use wheelbarrow to move dirt away from the area.

Use a steel tamper to flatten and level the ground.

Use a rubber mallet to nail the 2x4x12 wood piece in the center of the dug-out square.
Nail the piece of wood at two feet in, leaving 10 feet for the leveling.

Duct tape leveler to the piece of wood.
Then duct tape the two ten-pound weights at each end for stability.

Attach the Rope or remaining twine at the end of the piece of wood (opposite of the center).
Then begin moving in a circle to smooth out the area.

Use leveling sand to fill in gaps and create a smooth surface while continuously moving in a circle.
Once Leveled you will be ready to set up your above ground pool.
