How to Learn to Ollie on a Skateboard
Have you ever tried to do an Ollie on a skateboard and failed each time you tried. Well I am gonna show how to learn an Ollie in a day. My instructable will be clear to read so it will be easier to understand. So have fun while reading my guide to learn to do an Ollie. And also your choice to get some elbow pads and knee pads.
Supplies
- Skateboard
- Shoes (vans) or any shoes
- Helmet and elbow pads and knee pads (optional)
Get Used to Skateboarding
First thing you want to learn is to skateboard of course so you know how to ride around on the skateboard.
Get on the Skateboard
After your done step one you want to step on the skateboard and get your balance.
Foot Positions
Once your on the skateboard you're gonna put your right for on the edge like half on your foot on the skateboard and the other half not on the skateboard and if you're used to your left foot of course on the other side and on your other foot, left or right, you want to put that foot maybe like 2 or 1 inch under the top bolts of the skateboard.
Practice Sliding Your Foot Up From the Top Bolts
So from here you want to step on the edge of the skateboard and slide your foot up and keep doing that until you get used to it.
Practice Jumping on Your Skateboard Without Falling
So now you want to keep jumping off the skateboard and landing on it without falling off the skateboard and now you get used to that and you don't fall again, move on to the next step now.
(Last Step) Combine All the Other Steps in Complete Order
Now you want to do all the other steps I taught you and try to do an Ollie and how your gonna do that is push down on the part where part of your foot is hanging off the edge and then when you and the skateboard is in the air do step 4 sliding your foot up the skateboard so the skateboard is straight so you can land on the skateboard. If you did not land on it or couldn’t jump at all, keep trying until you land on it.
