How to Install a Header | Lexus IS300

Installing the cheapest ebay header on my IS300!

Supplies

Special tools youll need:

Map gas torch

Oxygen sensor wrench

Disconnect Intake and Exhaust

Disconnected intake tube that goes from the throttle body to the air box. Then underneath the car, disconnect the exhaust manifold fro the rest of the exhaust.

Disconnect Oxygen Sensors

Disconnect the electrical connects for the oxygen sensors that are installed in the exhaust manifold

Remove the Exhaust Manifold

Spray penetrating lubricant on all of the nuts securing the exhaust manifold. Then use a break bar to break loose the nuts, then fully remove all of the nuts. Once all the nuts are removed, you can remove the exhaust manifold from the car.

Transfer Over Oxygen Sensors

Torch the bungs of each oxygen sensor to get them nice and hot, then use an oxygen sensor socket to remove the oxygen sensors from the exhaust manifold. Once all the sensors are removed from the exhaust manifold, install them into your new hearer.

Install the Header

Install the new header into the car. Reinstall all of the hardware and connect the oxygen sensor connectors, then youre finished..
