How to Hook a Dust Collector Up to a Table Saw(Transitory)

The dust collector in use is the 70-Gallon Harbor Freight Dust Collector Particulate.

Supplies

- You need at bare minimum: A blast gate, 4" Dust collection duct, two clamps, and the main y-inlet for the dust collector.

-Extra parts include 45 degree elbows, a dust separator, and y-connectors for multiple hookups.

These figures show exactly how to hook it up if there is more than one machine. If you are only hooking it up to one machine, there are less parts that are necessary.

The Y-Inlet and the First Connection

Make sure the Y-Inlet is secured to the collector and the duct is clamped to the Inlet.

Blast Gate and Clamp

Make sure you have a blast gate and two clamps. You also need two pieces of the dust collection duct.

All you need to do is put the duct around each edge of the blast gate and secure it with a clamp on each side.
