To get the seeds from the vegitable you must ( assuming your using a pepper) cut right doen the middle of the pepper then you will find the core area and seeds. Then remove the seeds

When I did this I used dehydrated dirt capsules which when water is added you get a perfect mound of dirt. But if your not using those all you have to do is take small mounds of dirt into small containers of some sort and put 1-3 seeds in each

Basically all you need to do from now is make sure the seeds get plenty of water and sunlight. And after two cycles of growing the plants from the seeds of the previous vegitable or fruit you will actually being growing the plants for free!
