How to Get a Tractor Wheel Back on
Don't EVER use grease or oil on the nut or thread or you will get trouble if you don't know what you are doing.
.
If the tyre and wheel are too heavy to get back on or you are a truckie or farmer with big heavy wheels to get on, make one of these . Sacrifice a wheel nut and get a bolt that just starts into the thread . Weld all around on the bolt side. Cut off the head of the bolt with a cut off wheel . Clean it up a bit .
Now lean your wheel out at the top a bit and support it.. Enough to get your adapter inside to screw onto a thread preferably at the top , then put the wheel back against the pin end and holding the wheel in move the jack up or down to get the pin into a wheel hole. Then jack the vehicle up a bit till the wheel lifts off the ground and you can maneuver it so everything lines up . Then put the wheel back down and lean out again and remove your adapter and push the wheel now aligned back in and onto the studs. Tractor type wheels can weigh 250 kilos and up especially if they have wheel weights on them and are half filled with water.
