How to Get a Perfect Blowout With the Dyson Airwrap

Many people do not know how to use the Dyson Airwrap to its full potential. Below you will find detailed instructions on how to use this device. This whole process will take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the thickness of the hair.
WARNING: Do not touch attachments after use as they will be very hot
WARNING: Keep electrical cords away from water
Supplies

Required:
- Dyson Airwrap
- Soft Smoothing Brush Attachment
- Firm Smoothing Brush Attachment
- Round Volumizing Brush Attachment
- Smoothing Dryer Attachment
- Hair Smoothing Lotion
- Heat Protectant
- Argan Oil
- Hair Clips or Hair Ties
- 60% Wet Hair
- Hair Rollers of Any Size

- Leave-in Hair Treatment
Section Hair

1.1 Section hair into 4 even sections all over head with hair clips or hair ties. Figure 1.1
Hair Prep

2.1 If using a Leave-in hair treatment, add a small amount to each section of hair
2.2 Take the smoothing lotion of your choice and apply a small amount to each section of hair
2.3 Take hair out of sections
2.4 Put the smoothing dryer attachment onto the airwrap by lining up the nobs on the attachment to the holes on the airwrap. Figure 2.4
2.5 Dry your scalp 100% with the smoothing dryer attachment.
Section Hair

3.1 Section hair into 6 to 10 sections depending on the thickness of hair. Each section should be no more than 3 inches thick when compressed and separate each section with hair ties or clips Figure 3.1
Apply Heat Protectant

4.1 Now that each section is separated, coat each section of hair with a heat protectant. Figure 4.1
First Dry

5.1 If you have course, very wavy or curly hair, you will need the firm smoothing brush attachment. If you have straight, or lightly wavy hair, then use the soft smoothing brush attachment
5.2 Remove the smoothing dryer attachment from the Airwrap by pushing the lever on the back down and pulling up on the attachment. Figure 5.2
5.3 Add the smoothing brush attachment onto the Airwrap the same way as the smoothing dryer attachment.
5.4 Put the Airwrap on the highest heat setting and air speed setting. Figure 5.4. Brush through each section until about 80% dry.
5.5 Once all sections are done, allow hair to cool completely and remove from sections before going onto the next step
Resection Bottom Half of Hair

6.1 Now that all of the hair has cooled, resection the bottom half of your hair with hair clips or hair ties into no more than 1 inch thick sections when compressed. Figure 6.1
6.2 Put the top half of hair into a hair clip or hair tie
Apply Heat Protectant
7.1 Lightly spray each section with a heat protectant.
Style Bottom Half of Hair

8.1 Remove the smoothing brush attachment from the Airwrap the same way as the smoothing dryer attachment
8.2 Put the volumizing round brush onto the Airwrap the same way as the other attachments
8.3 For each section on the bottom of the hair, remove the hair tie or hair clip and insert the round brush under the section as close to the scalp as possible and turn the Airwrap to the highest heat and airflow setting. The same way as before. Figure 8.3
8.4 Turn on the Airwrap to the highest heat setting and air setting, the same as before
8.5 Turn the brush outward while moving down the hair section, making sure to keep tension all the way down. Repeat with each section. Figure 8.5
8.6 When finished with each section, tie the hair back with a hair clip or a hair tie.
Resection Top Half of Hair

9.1 Depending on the thickness of your hair, divide the top half of your hair into 3 to 5 sections from the back of your head to the front. Figure 9.1

10.1 Starting with the section closest to the back of your head and put the volumizing round brush behind the section and roll backward while moving up the section, keeping tension the whole time. Figure 10.1
10.2 As soon as you have gone through the whole section with the round brush, immediately put a hair roller behind the section Figure 10.2
10.3 Brush up to the ends of the hair. Figure 10.3
10.4 Roll downward. Figure 10.4
10.5 Repeat steps 10.1 through 10.4 for the remaining sections.
Remove Hair Rollers

11.1 Once the hair in the hair rollers are completely cooled it is time to remove the rollers.
11.2 Hold the roller on either side and pull up on the roller until all of the hair is out of the roller. Figure 11.2
11.3 Repeat steps 11.1 to 11.2 for the remaining sections.
Shake Out Hair
12.1 Run your fingers through your hair and position your hair where you want it to be.
Apply Moisture
13.1 Apply 3 drops of Argan oil to your hands and rub into your hands so that it is evenly distributed.
13.2 Apply the Argan oil to your hands to your hair, distributing it evenly.
