How to Fix Rotimatic - Sweeper Struck Issue
If you have a rotimatic and each time you try and make something, if it gives you the sweeper struck issue then you can try this. This helped me resolve the issue on my rotimatic. Be sure to try the recommended steps of cleaning behind the sweeper and/or power cycling the unit first before doing this.
ISSUE:
the sweeper moves yet rotimatic errors out stating sweeper is stuck and you have already tried cleaning the sweeper and kneading parts and/or power cycling
Open the Back Cover of Rotimatic
you would need a star screw driver for this. regular Philips (+) or flat head (-) screw drivers won't work.
removing the back cover is easy.
remove all the screws on the back along with 1 screw on the bottom of the rotimatic (do not forget this 1 screw in the underbody)
after the screw are removed, carefully undo the 2 clips on the sides and 3 clips on the top. be gentle and try to use a thin flat head screw driver to get this plastic clips off.
the back cover should come off. pay attention to the 2 cables attached to the back cover
1 is a usb header that can be disconnected and the 2nd is the fan. no need to disconnect the fan, just keep the cover close by. you can also unscrew the fan if needed. there are just 2 screws holding it down.
What to Look for and Clean After Opening Back Cover
Refer the image in this step.
There is a disk deep in the green highlighted area just like the one shown in red circle. clean that disk. in my case it had dust and debris on it and hence the sensor kept erroring out with sweeper struck error even though the sweeper moves
This disk has black dotes that moves in tandem with the stepper motor that drives the sweeper and when there is dust, the sensor is unable to read the black dashes of the disk properly.
