I kept receiving this question over and over again, so decided to write an article on "How to expand C drive in Windows". When you start running out of disk space within the C drive, it is obvious that you need to increase the size of C partition .

We all know that C drive is the first disk drive in your Windows PC. It is usually the largest drive that your computer comes with. This is where your operating system, software, and settings are permanently stored. However, there may come a day when you will need more space to download or store files or to create new partitions.

But here comes another question how to expand C drive? The first thing you can do is to check if your hard disk has any free space left. If yes, you can extend it by doing a partition management.

Open CMD on Windows PC
