Fix Part
If you wish to have two braids, use your brush or comb to make a straight part down the middle of your head
Prep Hair
Now, brush all of your hair backward, away from your face
Section Hair
Section off the front of your hair, angled backward still (if you are braiding just one braid, take the crown portion of your hair, as shown; if you are doing a double braid, take the front half of the crown portion)
Separate
Separate this section into three equal pieces
Numbering Hair
The leftmost strand will be numbered 1, the middle strand as 2, and the rightmost strand as 3, in order to keep track of each of the strands and avoid confusion as you're braiding
Start Braid
To start the braid, move strand 1 underneath strand 2, pulling tightly
Braid Cont.
Move strand 3 underneath strand 2, which is now the strand in the middle, again, pulling tightly
Base Completed
This is now the base for the braid, ensure it is centered, pulled tightly, and to your liking before you continue!
Begin Adding Hair
Continue the braiding pattern but now adding in hair from outside the braid to the strand before pulling it under
Braid Addition Cont.
Add hair to strand 2 and then pull the entire strand AND addition under strand 3
Braid Cont.
Add hair to strand 1 and pull it under strand 2
Braid Cont.
Continue as so until you get to the base of the head and there is no more hair to add
Finish Braid
Resume regular braiding until you get to the desired length and tie the braid
