How to Drop an Egg One Story Without It Breaking : Bouncy Balloons

If it was good enough for NASA to land Pathfinder on Mars its should be good enough to land an egg.

Blow up a few balloons and pack them around an egg in a tetrahedral confiuration, drop them from one story high to see if they prevent the egg from breaking.

It's also a good way to demonstate a bit of Science - The conversion of potentional energy into kinetic energy. Here's how: before it is dropped it has 'Potential Energy' or the ability to do something, when launched this becomes 'Kinetic energy' as it is moving (doing something). Now on to how to build it.

Supplies

Egg
10 Balloons
Tape

Packing the Egg

Attach 6 balloons together using tape to make a 3 by 3 triangle.
Place an egg in the center and attach it to the Balloons using tape.
Attach 4 more balloons on top to make a balloon tetahedron, secured together with tape.

Launch

Launch the Balloon tetahedron out of the first story window.
Did air resistance from the Balloons slow the fall?
Did the Balloons provide enough cushioning to prevent the egg from breaking?
What other ways are there to stop an egg breaking in a fall?
