How to Do Schoolwork Like the Amish and Mennonites Do It.
How do I know how the Amish and Mennonites do their schoolwork? I, am one. And here is how we do our schoolwork.
This Instructable mainly focuses on how to get your schoolwork done and is full of tips helping you do just that. Your needed supplies are simply a willing mind, schoolbooks, and a pen and pencil.
Get Enough Sleep.
Students, get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Nine hours is even better. The saying ''Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.'' is true!
Get Up Early.
Get up between 6:00 and 6:30 every morning. This gives you time to eat a twenty minute breakfast, and still be done by nine o'clock.
Do Your Work in the Right Order.
Gather your books and do them in the order you do them at school. This helps it go faster if you always do them in the same order as you do them at school.
My list of books to tackle is:
1.Math
2.English
3.Spelling
4.Reading
Doing Math.
Math takes me about one hour. I always have scrap paper on hand for my calculations.
First I label my paper (see the first picture) by writing the numbers where the answer will be. Then I do the lesson (second picture.) If I come to one problem that I can't figure out, I do the rest of the lesson then go back to it.
Doing English.
English takes me about one-half hour. I read the instructions, then I follow them closely until I'm done.
Doing Spelling.
Spelling takes me about forty-five minutes to complete. First I do my lesson, next, I carefully study the words for my Spelling test for fifteen minutes, then I take my test.
Doing Reading.
Lastly, there's Reading, which takes from one-half hour to one hour. Read your story thoroughly, then answer all the questions in your reading workbook.
More Tips.
First, always read the instructions thoroughly.
Race with the clock.
Never listen to music while working at schoolwork.
If possible, be the only one in the room.
Don't get behind in schoolwork, if you get done at eight o'clock, do some of the next day's work if your teacher doesn't mind.
Finished!
Now that your finished, here are some things to do:
-Write an Instructable.
-Play a game.
-Go for a walk.
Thank-you for reading this Instructable and if you didn't do your work yet, you know how to get it done now, so go do it!
