How to Decorate Ugly Pencils

Have you ever gotten tired of ugly pencils? If so, this is a really easy way to make unique, personalized pencils.
Supplies

Some ugly pencils (or just some boring ones)
A knife
A paintbrush
Ink
Glue
Sandpaper (optional)
Paper (to cover your workspace)
Whittle

Use the knife to carve away the outside of the pencil. Try to make an interesting texture. If it is rough, you may want to sand it.
Paint

With the paintbrush, paint your ink onto the pencil. If you want a really interesting look, roll the pencil between two pieces of paper to rub off some on the paint on the higher parts.
Glue

When the ink is dry, paint on glue or Mod Podge to seal it.
Finished!

When the glue is dry, you are done! For other interesting looks, you can use metallic or sparkly ink. On the red pencil, I cut off the eraser.
