Tube Cutter - How to Cut Tubes Smaller Than 1/8" (3mm)

Most of the tube cutters only cut tube 1/8" (3mm) or larger. There are times I need to cut tube smaller than that. Cutting tube with a wire cutter is not good because it will damage the hole and hacksaw are not very good for small tubes. So after some testing I came up with this simple method to cut smaller tubes.

All you need is a cotton slab or any rod that is thick enough to raise your tube. :)

Small tubes are hard to spin therefore a plier or chuck type pin vise can make the job much easier.

Prepare the Support Rod

Cut both ends of the cotton slab.

Insert the Support Rod to the Cutter

Put the Tube You Want to Cut and Lock Them.

The result is pretty good, I am happy. I tried with 2mm tube but I think it will work for smaller tube.
