In today's tutorial I wanna teach you how you can crochet this beautiful twelve-petal flower =).
It's one of my favorites because is really easy and fast to make, within seconds you'll have the perfect decoration for any crochet project ^_^
So, let's begin! =D

Materials
To make this flower you'll need:
- Crochet Hook
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Gauge
The flower that you saw at the beginning of the tutorial was 2 inches long and wide.
If you want to make a flower with the same size and you are not sure if the hook of yarn that you are going to use are the ones, using the single crochet stitch, you can make a 2 inch square, and if at the end you have 9 rows, with 9 stitches each, then, you are using the right hook and yarn.
I used a sport weight yarn and a D-3 hook.
Chart
To make this flower, in a magic ring you must work 12 single crochet.
Don’t forget to make a slip stitch at the end of the round.
Now, work 9 chain stitches and make a slip stitch in the same stitch where we worked the last slip stitch.
Once again, work a slip stitch in the nearest single crochet, make 9 chain stitches and in the same stitch work a slip stitch.
Now repeat this pattern in all the stitches of the first round.
If you want to, once that you have finished the twelfth petal, you can make a slip stitch in the first slip stitch of the round, but this is completely optional.
Phototutorial / Step 01
To begin with the center of the flower, we must have already a Magic Ring, which is a basic crochet technique whose instructable is available HERE.
Once that we have ready the magic ring, we must work 12 single crochet.
Phototutorial / Step 02
To make the first single crochet, we have to pass the hook through the ring, yarn over (which is to put the yarn over the hook), now pull the hook and you must have two loops on it, yarn over again and pull the hook through the two loops.
Now repeat it eleven more times.
Phototutorial / Step 03
Don't forget to join the first and the last stitch of the round with a slip stitch.
To make it, pass the hook through the top of the first single crochet of the round, yarn over, pull the hook and now pull the hook again but now through the first loop on it, counting from right to left.
Phototutorial / Step 04: Petals
Now let’s begin with the petals, to make them we must work 9 chain stitches.
Remember, to make a chain stitch, yarn over and pull the hook through the loop that was already on it.
Now repeat it eight more times.
Phototutorial / Step 05: Petals
Once that we have finished the 9 chain stitches, we are going to find the stitch where we made the last slip stitch, and in that stitch, we are going to make another slip stitch to finish our petal.
Now, we are going to make a slip stitch in the nearest single crochet of the last round and repeat the pattern that we just learned.
PATTERN: 9 chain stitches, slip stitch in the same stitch where we have worked the last slip stitch. Slip stitch in the nearest single crochet of the last round.
Repeat this pattern in all the stitches of the last round.
Phototutorial / Step 06
This is how the flower looks when we have finished the twelfth petal.
Now close the ring and finish off.
Thank you so much for your visit =)
Keep having an amazing day and hopefully I'll see you in my next Instructable ^_^
