How to Crochet a Bee Keychain

Bees are very popular right now. So I decided to make my own pattern for a bee keychain. Let me know what your thoughts are and post your finished product. :) (P.s. This pattern was created by me)

Supplies

  • 4/worst weight yarn in 3 different colors (in the pictures shown, I used the traditional yellow, black, and white(I also used some pink to make blush). You can use whatever colors you want.)
  • 7-4.5 mm hook
  • stuffing/polyfill
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors
  • 10 mm black safety eyes
  • keychain loops
  • pliers



Abbreviations:

sc - Single Crochet

hdc - Half Double Crochet

st - Stitch

dec - Single Crochet Decrease

Ml - Magic Loop/Ring

6sc - six single crochets in the same stitch or loop

2sc - two single crochets in the same stitch

6hdc - six half double crochets in the same stitch

FO - Finish Off

(#) - # of stitches

[hkhk] - Important note

** - Repeat


Notes:

  • This pattern is worked in continuous rounds except for when you change colors.
  • When you change colors, you'll slst into the next st and FO. The you will pull through in a different st and sc around and slst to the 1st st. and you'll repeat.
  • When you're finish with the last color change, you'll go back to working in continuous rounds to the end

[Using Wing Color Make 2]

Round 1: Ml, 6hdc, (6)

FO weave in magic loop end and use the other one to sew to the back

using both the keychain loop an pliers, attach the keychain in between the wings and secure it.
