How to Crochet a Bee

My name is Micah, I am homeschooled, and I designed this easy crochet bee. Hope you enjoy!

Abbreviations:

Rnd - Round

Rpt - Repeat

Ttl - Total

St - Stitch

Sc -Single crochet

Inc - Increase

Sl - Slip stitch

Ch - Chain

Hdc - Half double crochet

Dc - Double crochet

Dec - Decrease

Round = Row

Supplies

  1. Crochet hook
  2. Needle
  3. Scissors
  4. Yellow yarn
  5. Black yarn
  6. White yarn
  7. 9mm safety eyes (or however big you want them)
  8. Stuffing

Main body:

In Yellow:

Rnd 1: 6sc inside magic loop, sl into first st of the rnd (6)

Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 inc in each st, sl into first st of the rnd(12)

Rnd 3: ch 1, 1 sc 1 inc rpt 6x ttl, sl into first st of the rnd (18)

Rnd 4-5: ch 1, 1 sc in each st, sl into first st of the rnd (18)

Pull through the black yarn for the sl in order to change to black: (pic. Rnd 5)

Insert eyes in between rows 4-5, 5 st apart, 4 st in between.

Rnd 6-7: ch 1, 1sc in each st, sl into first st of the round (18)

Pull through the yellow yarn for the sl in order to change to yellow: (pic. Rnd 7)

Rnd 8-9: ch 1, 1 sc in each st, sl into first st of the round(18)

Change to Black:

Rnd 10-11: ch 1, 1sc in each st, sl into first st of the round (18)

Change back to Yellow:

Rnd 12: 1 sc, 1 dec, rpt 6x ttl (12)

Stuff completely

Rnd 13: dec in each st (6)

Sew close

Wings and Finishing

Wings:

Rnd 1: 6sc inside magic loop (6)

Rnd 2: Chain 4, skip 1st chain and In back loops of chains 1 sc, 1 hdc , 1 dc, sl into 1st st of rnd 1


Bring the 2 tail ends to the point of the wing and sew the wings on between rows 7-8, directly behind the eyes, 4-5 st apart.

Tie the 2 ends together and stuff them inside.
