How to Cook a Cob Loaf Spinach Dip
This is a party food favourite; some would say it’s old fashion but we all have to admit to digging into one when it’s served at a party.
To Start Off We Need to Make the Dip Filling.
In a large bowl add 2 cups of cream cheese.
Mix with a spoon to help soften the cream cheese.
Next season with:
- Salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp Onion powder
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 Tbsp of celery seeds
Mix together combining the spices and cream cheese.
Next Add 1 and Half Cups of Sour Cream
Mix through
Squeeze Any Remaining Liquid From 2 Cups of Defrosted Spinach Before Adding to the Bowl.
Give the mixture one final mix making sure everything is combined.
Set the dip to one side.
Take a Cob Loaf and Cut the Top Off
Next cut about the edge, then a checker pattern.
This helps you to pull of the inside of the loaf in bite-size pieces.
Place the bread on a tray to be toasted.
Fill the Cob Loaf With the Spinach Dip
Make sure to fill if every last bit of the mixture.
To help the bread crisp up, spray with some olive oil.
Have Your Oven or BBQ at a Temp of 360f or 180c
Cover with the lid and let it warm through the 20 minutes.
