How to Construct a Tassle

Materials Needed

1 ball of wool

Pair of Scissors

1 average sized book

Place one end of wool on the open side of the book, then secure the wool with your index finger.

Now start wrapping the wool around the book at the same position until you have gone around 20-30 times depending on how think your wool is.

Once you have done the wrapping around the book leave an extra 15-20 cm dangling of from your book. then cut after the dangling bit.

Unfurl another 10 cm from your ball of wool and cut it of. now with that feed it under the wool on the book then wriggle it towards the spine then once there tie it using a double knot.

Use your scissors to cut the wool as close as possible to the end of the book.

Now cut an extra piece of wool from the ball of about 10-15cm when you have done that use that piece and tie a double knot 1cm down from the top.

Once you have done that use the scissors to even out the bottom loose bits.
