In this Instructable I'll show you how to connect a MIDI controller to a smartphone, so that you can hear in real time what you are playing on the keyboard.
This is a non-rigurous English translation for an article in my personal website: https://jjosemayorga.com/como-usar-un-teclado-midi-en-un-smartphone/

Download Perfect Piano App on Google Play
First of all, you have to download an app which allows you to connect a MIDI controller. Perfect Piano is perfect for this. It is very easy to use and you have nothing to do apart from connecting the MIDI device to the USB port of your smartphone.
Wire the Components All Together
The set up is very simple. Just have a look at the attached photograph and you will be able to complete the connection between elements.
Open the App and Enjoy
Everything is ready. Now you can test and record your musical ideas with a very simple set up.
