How to Close Pillow With Sewing Machine

Making a pillow can be one of the best ways to add comfort to any space. And there's no such thing as "too many pillows"! It can also be a great way to inject more color and personality to your room. So let’s take a look at how you’ll be able to make a pillow at home.

Now you’re ready to start sewing the fabric together. When sewing, leave one side open. This will allow you to stuff it with cotton in the next step. The way you do this can often depend on your experience level. If you’re new to the world of sewing, you might want to start by hand sewing. Though it can take a little longer, it will be a great way of getting used to the process.

However, if you have a little more experience, you might want to use a sewing machine (whichever you have at home, for example, Janome that I use is pretty basic but It's perfect for small projects). This will be much faster. If this is the case, get everything set up and start feeding the fabric through.

Now you’ll be ready to fill the pillow with cotton. The amount that you will need will depend on your preferences. In some cases, you might want to use a lot of filling, to create a firmer pillow. In other cases, you might want to use less, to create a softer pillow. When you’re comfortable with the amount of filling you’ve added, you’ll need to finish the pillow. To do this, you’ll need to sew the final side of the pillow closed.
