Philips screw driver

pliers

needle nose pliers

carburetor cleaner

7/16 wrench

wire brush

How to Remove the Carburetor

step one.png

To remove this carb, there is two bolts that have to be taken out with a philips screw driver, then you have to remove the fuel line with a pliers and pull the clip up the line, next take off the throttle cable by twisting the carb to the sky.

How to Remove the Bowl

step two.png

To remove the bowl you will need a 7/16 wrench to take out the main jet, the bowl might get stuck so you have to pry on it a bit.

Cleaning the Carburetor

step four.png

This is the longest step, first take your bowl scrub it out with a wire brush, after that wash it out with carb cleaner. Next scrub the carb itself till the corrosion is gone or about gone, then again wash it out with carb cleaner. Make sure to wash down the main jet port (the big opening in the middle of the carb). once that is done you can spray carb cleaner in the intake. The next step is optional, but clean the outside of the carb to make it look nice

Reassemble the Carburator

step four.png

To reassemble the carb put the parts back the way you took them apart.

Attach the Carburetor to the Engine

step 5.png

First put your throttle linkage back on, remember to twist the carb to the sky then back down. Next put the fuel line back on and use the pliers to bring the clip back to the bottom, then put both your bolts through the carb and put the nuts on an tighten.
