How to Clean Your Face

IMG_4371.jpeg

Cleaning your face is a very important step in having a healthy face along with looking heathy. Cleansing helps remove dirt, oils, and other debris from your face. Glycolic Acid helps to reduce acne, aging skin, dark skin, and acne scars on the face. Niacinamide is another one that improves uneven skin tone, soften fine lines/wrinkles, reduce dullness and strengthen from your face. Combining all of these will lead to a healthy looking and feeling face.

Supplies

You will need to gather the following resources:

  1. A facial cleanser: There are different types of cleansers based on your skin type which will be dry, normal, and oily skin.
  2. Glycolic Acid: I recommend "The Ordinary" brand as it is highly rated and a reasonable price.
  3. Niacinamide: Same with step #2. I recommend "The Ordinary" brand. They also have different sizes to pick through depending on if you just want to try it or are stocking up.

You will want to do this routine at night before you go to bed.

Untwist the Cap

If you are looking at the front of the bottle, you should see that the cap is facing to the right. Twist it clockwise so that the tip is facing towards the front of the bottle.

Push Down

With your hand underneath the tip of the cap, you will push down until the liquid comes out. I recommend about a quarter size of cleanser.

Apply to Face

With both of your hands, apply to your face and start rubbing the product in. (DO NOT FORGET TO CLOSE EYES!). Rub until you have covered your whole face including the top area of your neck.

Rinse

Wash off the product with water. This includes your face and hands. Eyes should still be closed.

Dry

With a towel, pat-dry your face until it is mostly dry. Pat-drying consists of patting your face with a towel until your face is almost dry.

Glycolic Acid

Pop off the lid of your glycolic acid bottle.

Squeeze Onto Hands

IMG_4380.jpeg

Tilt the bottle of glycolic acid upside down with one of your hands under the cap. Squeeze the bottle until you get about thumbnail worth of product on your hand. (You can also use a cotton pad if you do not want to use your hand).

Apply to Face

With your hand (or cotton pad), apply to face and rub in just like you did with the cleanser. It may burn a little but that is how your know it is working.

Wait

Let the glycolic acid sit for about 30 minutes before you continue the next step.

Niacinamide

IMG_4383.jpeg

After you have let the glycolic acid sit for 30 minutes, you are ready for step 10. Unscrew the bottle counter-clockwise until it is able to come off.

Squeeze the Nipple

IMG_4384.jpeg

You will want to squeeze the nipple and release to make sure you have enough of the niacinamide in the tube.

4-spot Application

Once you have confirmed that the product is in the tube, raise it to your forehead and squeeze gently for about a second. Repeat this step on both cheeks and chin.

Rub In

Once it is on your face, rub it in until you have covered your whole face and upper neck.

Your Done!

Your skin should feel refreshed and ready for bed.
