Before you begin, make sure you have all necessary tools. You will need a can of compressed air, a Phillips screw driver, and either a paper towel or microfiber cloth. A well lit work area and non static surface are also important.

Power Off Your System

Power down your PC via the dedicated power button on your systems case, or in the Start menu. Then, unplug the main power cable.

Open the Case

To access the inside of your system, remove the side panel. If the panel is made of glass, it can be cleaned with a microfiber cloth and windex.

Remove Dust Filters

Unscrew and dismount any dust filters and heat sinks that are attached to the case. Check all sides of your system for panels with detachable dust filters and remove them accordingly.

Clean Dust Filters

Attach a nozzle to the top of your can of compressed air, and blow the dust out of the dust filters. If necessary, wipe the surface of the filter with down with a paper towel or microfiber cloth.

Dust the Interior

Use your compressed air and microfiber cloth to dust the interior. If you have room, use the cloth to prevent excessive buildup on components with glossy finishes. For tighter spaces, utilize the can of compressed air.

Most modular GPU's consist of a flat surface on the top and a two to three fan units on the bottom. Use the cloth to surface clean the top and side panels of the GPU, and use compressed air on the fans as well as the Ram sticks.
