How to Clean Sanding Sticks
With most abrasives you can use any type of rubber to unclog the material stuck between the grit. This will restore the abrasive cutting edge and make it sand like its new.
This trick only works a few times before the grit eventually wears off entirely it pays to shop for more durable abrasives.
Supplies
Your sanding sticks
Any high quality pencil eraser
Elbow grease
Just Rub It Out.
It's pretty simple you just want to take your time and rub it out... take the eraser and rub the surface of the sanding stick don't use to much pressure or you will damage the abrasive.
Clean With Brush
Just use a stiff bristle brush to clean any residue left by the eraser.
