Your laptop battery can easily lose capacity over time, so it’s important that you frequently check its health.

Checking the battery health is relatively simple, and you can do that right from Windows 10 using command prompt.

Supplies

A laptop running Windows 10 O.S.

Right-click the Start Button and Open CMD in Admin Mode

After opening the command prompt in admin mode, type the following command: powercfg/batteryreport. Then press the enter key

View Battery Report

Locate the generated battery report stored in your computer by pressing the Windows+R keys and then typing C:\WINDOWS\system32\battery-report.html.
Click ok and the report will open in your browser.

This technique can be used as a simple way for estimating the remaining life of a battery powering a laptop running windows 10 operating system.
