How to Check Engine Oil Level for 2015-2019 Kia Sedona

Checking your engine oil level is fairly easy, and it is recommended to be checked once a month. Make sure the engine is cold before you start the process. You would need pair of gloves and a rag to complete the process.
Open Hood

Open the vehicle’s hood by pulling the hood release lever located in left bottom of driver compartment.
Release Hood Latch

Release the safety catch and raise the hood
Hood Prop

Lift the hood prop and insert the end into the hood to hold the hood open.
Locate Dipstick

Locate the oil dipstick in front of the engine department. Remove the dipstick and wipe it off with a clean rag or towel.
Reinsert
Reinsert the dipstick.
Remove the Dipstick
Remove the dipstick again for the second time.
Read Oil Level

If the oil is below this line, you need to add oil to the vehicle.
If the oil is above the full line, you need to remove oil.
If the oil level is anywhere in the blue box, it indicates that oil level is OK, and the vehicle is safe to drive.
Last Step
Reinsert the dipstick, and close the hood.
Additional Information

If it has been a while since your last oil change, pay attention to color of the oil and its smell. If the oil smells like gasoline or it has brown color, it indicates that you need an oil change.
