Supplies
You will need: any sized pumpkin, a sharp knife, either a real or fake candle (lighter if needed), two sheets of newspaper, a trash can handy, a spoon, and a black Sharpie.
Find Your Canvas
Find a flat, good to carve, side of the pumpkin. Clean if necessary.
Place Your Pumpkin
Place the pumpkin on the two, spread out, sheets of newspaper.
Cut Out Top of Pumpkin
Using your sharp knife, cut out a circle shape on top of the pumpkin just around the stem. Place cut out aside.
Clean the Pumpkin
Using your spoon, scrape out all of the seeds and pulp out of the pumpkin until pumpkin is clean.
Throw Away the Pulp of Pumpkin
Place the pulp of the pumpkin into your easy to access trash can for a clean workspace.
Tracing Your Image
Get an image in mind that you would like to carve on the pumpkin. Trace that image on the designated side of the pumpkin using your Sharpie.
Cutting Out Your Design
After tracing, use your knife to cut out your desired sharpie lines. Throw excess rind out.
Place Your Candle
Either use a fake or real candle, and place it into the center bottom of the pumpkin. Make sure it is lit.
Place Pumpkin "Cap" Back On
