How to Build a Solar Powered Boombox

riverradio.JPG

The goal of this project was to create a speaker that was energy independent and solar powered. The system was designed to be fairly compact and portable. The system allows for use in various environments such as in the mountains, on the rivers, or in a city park. The speaker is made inexpensive parts and re-purposed items. In all, this entire system can be built for less than $50, depending on available materials. We hope you enjoy your sustainable audio system.
