How to Build Kubb (Viking Chess)
Kubb is a great outdoor game to play with friends and family. It's easy to make and cheap and you can conquer a village with it.
Get Materials
All you need to make kudd is two 1 1/4 inch dowel rods and an 8 ft 4x4 and a pocket full of hopes and dreams. You may already have this stuff! I know I do!
Cut Rods
You'll need six 1 ft rods. Use a hand saw or circular saw or miter saw or hip saw or any saw... heck chew through it like a beaver if ya need it's KUBB!
Cut 4x4
This one takes some more cuts so use a saw. You will need (1) 1 ft piece and (10) 6 in pieces. still pretty simple stuff. The single larger piece is for your king and it's pretty much done at the point. the smaller pieces are still a little to wide so follow me on our next magical step to trim em down.
Trimming Pawns... Ya Can't Have Fat Pawns
Run the stock through a table saw and trim down to 3x3. Be safe!
That's It!
That's all you need. I have included a link to the rules. If you want to build a storage box as well search on Instructables they have some great builds.
