How to Build Cell Phone Speaker Amplifier

This set of instructions will help those who need a cheap and easy way to boost sound volume on their smartphone.

Step 1

Gather Materials

1. 2 styrofoam cups
2. 1 paper towel tube
3. Pen
4. Ruler
5. Scissors or exacto knife
6. Smartphone

Use ruler to find the center of paper towel tube and mark with Sharpie.

Trace base of smartphone (or side the speaker is located) around center point, parallel with tube.

Trace end of tube on lower side of each cup.

Cut out traced regions in cups.

Cut out traced region in tube leaving a half inch flap inside the traced region on each end.

Slide each cup onto either end of the tube laying the cups on their sides.

Choose song on smartphone (for easier access).

Place speaker end of smartphone into the tube slot.

Turn on music and enjoy your new speakers.
