How to Brighten Your Eyes
Ever feel like your eyes look tired and sleep just doesn't seem to help? Or when eyeshadow has just become so dark that your eyes look suppressed under all the that makeup? Today's instructable will be on how to brighten your eyes in just a few simple steps for a faux energized look.
This trick can be done with either a bare eye or a full face of makeup. Let's begin!
You'll need:
1. Concealer in your shade
2. Shadow that will add a pop of brightness that matches your look
3. A white/flesh colored shadow stick/eyeliner
Apply Concealer
I like to apply concealer after all of the dark eyeshadow is on so that I can clean up any fall out that might occur while applying shadow.
Place concealer in a triangle shape as shown above, focusing on the inner eye and on the brow bone. Blend with either your finger or a concealer brush until well blended. See the instant difference?!
Apply Eyelid Highlighter
Using a lighter color that matches your shadow shade, pat into place on the center of the eyelid. This will give your eye a more 3D effect.
Highlighting Inner Corners
Using either the lightest color of your eyemakeup palette used for your shadow or a separate more shimmery shadow, highlight the inner corner (the V) of your eye.
Optional: If you're using a shadow stick like I am or if you have a white/flesh colored eyeliner, line the bottom water line for an extra eye opener.
Finishing
Finish the rest of your eye makeup and you're all done!
