So anyone can go to the thrift shop and get an ugly christmas sweater. But if you want a creative touch and catch the attention of other party goers, I suggest you try this instructable!

You will need:
- an old christmas sweater
- scissors
- duct tape (preferably dark color)
- a string of battery operated lights
- batteries (whatever fits in the lights)

Lights!

So first you have to see if your lights are in good working order.  So go ahead a test them out. I got mine from Walgreens for $4.99.

Camera!

So now you want to incorporate your lights with your sweater.  First you'll want to turn your sweater inside out. Then take your scissors and cut small pea size holes in your sweater. You're going to want to cut as many holes as you have lights. After you have your holes cut, slide the light in just far enough so that you can't see the bulb any more  and take some duct tape and tape it on the sweater. And keep going until you have  all the lights in place and taped in. Once all the lights are in place you're going to want to put the battery box in the lower corner of the sweater.

Action!

Almost done! Now all you have to do is tape the battery pack down. I did this with 2 pieces of duct tape. I placed my battery box a little above the seam so that it couldn't be seen. On mine there was a little extra wire so I just taped it down. Now alls there left to do is turn it inside out and turn it on!

Congratulations!
