How to Paint a Camoflauge Pattern With Rust Effect
I have been asked to make an ible of how to paint a camoflauge pattern with a rust effect as in my https://www.instructables.com/id/Camoflauge-B-ATM-03-FATTY-GROUND-CUSTOM-airbrushe/... Well, here it is!
Materials You Will Need
You will need in general for the rust effect:
Aibrush ( I will be using the Sparkman 2.0mm)+ airpump
Tamiya (or any other brand) brown (and I mean many types of brown, preferably 4) acrylic paints (and maybe a green or two)
Something to paint (I will be using a white Lego block)
Water
Salt (I will explain why you need this later)
2 containers
toothpicks + Masking tape (or something you can use to hold onto the pieces)
blocks of wood with holes (or something to hold up your wet painted pieces
Prepare for Painting
Paint the Base Colour (Brown)
paint a thin, even layer of brown (X-9) with your airbrush. Wait for it to dry.
Paint Spots of Green, and Red
Salt
Choose Your Camoflauge Colours
Choose which type of camoflauge you would like a plane camoflauge, space camoflauge, desert, jungle..... I will only be teaching a desert camoflauge, but for other kinds, just change the colours used.
Choose Your Camoflauge Type
Spray your model (or lego block) with your base colour (desert yellow) in a nice even coat. After that, spray your detail colour(s) in wavy lines, dot, or just random shapes. your model should now look like mine in the picture, except you should have clumps of dried, coloured salt on yours.
