How to Not Be Ignorant
Here is some tips on how not to be ignorant with some of the most discussed topics of the year.
Politics
Now I don't care wether you a pro or anti Obama. I am anti Obama, a lot of people I talk to that are pro Obama are just plain ignorant. I am not saying anything against pro Obama individuals, I am just saying that if you're gonna side with Obama then at least know what you are talking about. If you can make an argument other than "Oh, Obama is just a person he needs time." Then I might listen to you. Whenever I make an argument I make sure I have facts not just things like " Obama is stupid I don't know how but he is."
Gun Control
Once again I could care less if you are pro or anti gun, I am pro gun. To start I should say that you need to keep an open mind. Ok know I will start with how and how not to make an argument.
Good pro gun argument: I have tons of guns sitting at my home, and not one of them have ever got up and loaded themselves and shot someone.
Bad pro gun argument: Everyone is pro gun it is obvious that they have to be good. (Bandwagon).
Good anti gun argument: I can't think of a good anti gun argument so I will just tell you that you should start with facts (if you find any good anti gun ones) then state them along with your argument.
Bad anti gun argument: Guns kill people. This an example of ignorance because of the lack of facts, and the bandwagon attitude of it. Just because everyone wants to ban guns this person states unreliable arguments just to hop on the bandwagon.
