How to Make a Rectangle Envelope for a Square Card
This video will show you how to make a rectangle envelope for your 6" X 6" square handmade cards. When you use a rectangle envelope you do not have to pay extra postage.
See more information about mailing through the United States Postal Service.
You will need patterned paper, a score board (or a ruler and bone folder), and adhesive.
I started with a 11″ X 11″ piece of DSP Patterned Paper.
I scored it at 4 3/8″ along the top and 4 3/8″ down the side.
I then turned the paper 90 degrees and scored the top at 5 5/8″ and 5 5/8″ down the side.
Fold all score lines.
Snip the top corners.
Fold down the bottom peak and trim.
Place some adhesive along the sides to glue together 1 inch on either side of the card.
Glue down the side and bottom flaps.
