This is a quick and easy recipe to make Italian style meatballs. Being a busy college student living on my own I'm always looking for meals I can make at home that are not very expensive and can go a long way. This is one of those recipes. In under an hour you could have a delicious home cooked meal!

Gathering Your Supplies!

Before you start make sure you make a quick grocery store run to get everything you need!

You will need:

-Around 2 pounds of ground beef, I use 80/20 - A large mixing bowl

-Italian bread crumbs - Measuring spoons

-Ketchup - Measuring cup

-One egg - Baking sheet

-Parsley flakes

-Onion powder

-Garlic powder

- Oregano

Mixing Your Ingredients!

Mixing Ingredients For Meat Balls

Now we get to do the fun part. Before we go any further make sure to preheat your own to 350 degrees.

Warning: WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING THIS STEP!!

Take your meat out of the package and put it into the mixing bowl.

Measure one cup of italian bread crumbs using your measuring cup and add it to your bowl.

Measure one tablespoon of ketchup using your measuring spoons and add it to your bowl.

Measure one tablespoon of onion powder, oregano, and garlic using your measuring spoons and add it to your bowl.

Measure two tablespoons of garlic powder using your measuring spoon and add it to your bowl.

Crack your egg into the bowl.

Now... are you ready for this?

Get your hands in there and start mixing all the ingredients. I have put a video here to help you!

Forming Your Meatballs

Rolling Meat Balls

Now that everything is all mixed up its time to actually form our meatballs.

Take an amount of meat about the size of your palm from the bowl.

Roll the meat between your hands until it starts forming a ball shape.

Keep rolling until your are happy with the shape and then place them about an inch apart on your greased baking sheet.

Keep going until you run out of meat! I made 20 meatballs.

Baking Your Meatballs

After you have made all your meatballs and your oven is preheated to 350 degrees there ready to go in!

Warning: ALWAYS WEAR AN OVEN MITT WHILE PUTTING THEM INTO THE OVEN IT WILL BE VERY HOT.

Once your oven mitt is on, grab your cookie sheet and pop them into the oven.

Cook them for around 30 minutes, or until a nice golden brown color.

If you are unsure if they are cooked you can always cut into one just enough to see the inside.

If there is no pink, there ready!

Serving Your Meatballs!

You finished making your meatballs! Carefully remove them and drop them into your favorite tomato sauce! You can now make meatballs subs, spaghetti, or just eat them plain there great no matter what you decide to do with them. Throw whatever you don't eat into the fridge and it will be good for the next few day's meals!

I decided to have some spaghetti and parmesan cheese with mine.

Enjoy!
