Materials

For making applesauce you will of course need apples. It does not matter how manny apples you use, just remember a lot of apples boil down to a little applesauce. You will also need a medium sauce pan. Cinnamon and sugar are optional, depending on your taste and selection of apples.

Peel the Apples

You can use a apple peeler like in the picture to peel and cut the apples. If you do not have one you can peel and cut the apples manually. If any seeds, skin or core is left on the apples this will result in hard parts is in the applesauce. Make sure you remove them.

Prepping

Now put the apples in a medium sauce pan. Add as much or as little cinnamon or sugar depending on your taste and the amount of apples you have.

Cooking

Cover and Simmer on low heat until desired consistency is reached, stirring occasionally. This may take 1 to 2 hours. Stirring more, cooking longer, and mashing the apples will make your applesauce creamier.

Cooling

After desired taste and consistency is reached, turn of burner and let it cool.
