How to Make Glowing Eggs
This is an "add-on" if you will to my egg blowing instructable. This instructable will show you how to make that beautiful egg light up.
Gather Your Materials
For this add-on, you will need:
- 1 blown out egg
- 1 small switch
- 1 led of any color
- 1 soldering iron
- 1 roll of solder
- 1 sheet of perf board that can be scored
- 1 9V battery
- 1 battery clip
- 1 220ohm resistor
- any kind of adhesive (duct tape works the best)
- (optional) extra wire
- 1 blown out egg
- 1 small switch
- 1 led of any color
- 1 soldering iron
- 1 roll of solder
- 1 sheet of perf board that can be scored
- 1 9V battery
- 1 battery clip
- 1 220ohm resistor
- any kind of adhesive (duct tape works the best)
- (optional) extra wire
Cut Your Perf Board
Take your perf board and use an X-Acto knife to score the size you want of the board, ( mine is the same size as the battery. Then bend the scored area so that it snaps on the scored area.
Solder Your Parts Together
With the schematics given use your perf board and wire to solder everything together. If you are using non metal perf board, use the wire to bridge the connections, the solder will not stick onto the board. Otherwise the solder will stick on metal boards.
Stick...It Together
Just like the title, you need to stick everything together. In this photo, I used duct tape to lightly hold everything together.
Test It Out
Grab your blown egg and make the hole the same size as your led and stick the egg on top of the led and switch it on. On a camera, it will appear orange, but in real eye perspective, it is red. Thank you for reading this instructable and don't forget to vote. Have fun!
